Cover and Title Page Art and Design, 2022

This project was created as part of my book illustration course - a digital recreation of the cover and title page for Neil Gaiman's Coraline. This project presented me with an exciting challenge to reinterpret the beloved story in a fresh and visually engaging way.

Using digital illustration techniques, I began by brainstorming several cover page ideas before selecting the one that best captured the mood and essence of the book. After refining the design based on some feedback received, I then turned my attention to the title page, creating two different concepts before ultimately choosing the one that matched the style of the cover page.

This project has allowed me to further develop my skills in design, creative thinking, and problem-solving. Through this assignment, I gained a better understanding of how to create visually appealing designs and layouts that capture the essence of a book. I also honed my ability to brainstorm and come up with creative solutions to effectively represent a story's message through design. Additionally, I improved my technical skills in effectively incorporating text into the design and creating a seamless look between the cover and title pages.
